We're making progress!

It's February 2011, and we're ready to send in the 1023 to the IRS. this will give us non-profit status, which we've been waiting for to accept membership applications and membership dues. Once this application is approved, we will begin to more actively recruit and plan fundraisers to support Jervis Public Library.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 16, at 7pm in the library's Board Room. We hope to see you there!

April's meeting changes dates

Due to the April vacation, the April Friends meting will be held on April 15 instead of April 22. Come one, come all to sign up for duty! We hope to see you there.

Next meeting

The next meeting of Friends of Jervis Public Library will be on Thursday, March 18, at 7pm in the Auditorium. Join us to talk about upcoming fund raising events and the group's online presence. All are welcome to attend.

Friends Fundraiser Friday, March 19

We are pleased to announce the first fundraiser to be held at McDonald's on Black River Blvd. on Friday, March 19 from 5pm-8pm. Friends of Jervis Public Library will receive 10% of all sales during these hours. No voucher to hand in, no mentioning that your order supports the Friends. Take your family for a meal or stop by for a cup of coffee between 5pm and 8pm to support our fledgling Friends group.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Friends of Jervis Public Library blog!  We formed in November 2009 and would love to have you as a member of our fund-raising group.   Young and old are equally needed!   We have lots of ideas to help our favorite library out, and are looking for more ideas.   Let us know your thoughts!
